Our Story
The Good For The Sole story begins in 2005, when our founder Sarah noticed a gap in the footwear market. As a busy working mother, she struggled to find shoes that were both comfortable enough to get her through long days on her feet, yet also reflected her personal style. After countless disappointing shopping trips, an idea was born – to create a footwear brand that catered to the needs of women who wanted the best of both worlds when it came to their shoes.
Sarah got to work finding the most advanced comfort technologies and collaborating with footwear designers to incorporate these innovations into on-trend silhouettes. It was a winning formula, and after a successful test launch, Good For The Sole officially launched in early 2006.
We started out with a small but mighty collection focused on flats, sandals and boots designed for all-day wear. But over the years, we’ve expanded into an extensive range including everything from party heels to winter boots.
